Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of ePustika (https://epustika.com), an AI-assisted eBook creation studio and marketplace. ePustika is a product of the udgamai brand, owned and operated by Nov8iv Solutions LLP (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Accounts
- You must be at least 18, or use the service under a parent or guardian's supervision.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in email secure.
- One free generation credit is granted per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits is prohibited and may result in suspension.
2. The service
ePustika generates book outlines, chapters, covers and illustrations from a topic you provide, using third-party AI models, and lets you edit, download and publish the result. AI output can contain mistakes. You are the author: you are responsible for reviewing, editing and fact-checking anything you publish or sell.
3. Credits, tiers and pricing
- One credit produces one book of the corresponding tier: Short ₹149, Standard ₹349, Premium ₹699. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.
- The free credit produces a Preview Edition (outline, chapter one and a designer cover). Remaining chapters are generated free when you choose to continue. Downloading or publishing a free book requires an unlock: a one-time payment of ₹99 or three referred users who each complete their own free generation.
- Chapter regenerations beyond the included allowance use “sparks”, sold in small packs.
- Credits and sparks are consumed when generation starts, are non-transferable, and do not expire.
4. Content ownership and licence
- You own the books you create, to the extent permitted by law. You grant ePustika a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, render and promote your content for the purpose of operating the service and, if you publish, the marketplace.
- Any writing sample you provide to derive a voice profile is used only for your books and is never published or shared.
- Books created with ePustika are labelled “AI-assisted” in marketplace metadata.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to create or distribute content that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes another person's copyright, trademark or privacy;
- sexualises minors, promotes violence or hatred against protected groups, or provides instructions for weapons, malware or illegal drugs;
- impersonates a real person or organisation, or is a deliberate medical, financial or investment scam;
- circumvents the unlock, purchase or download protections of the service.
Topics and outputs are screened automatically; we may decline to generate, remove content, or suspend accounts that breach these rules.
6. Marketplace
- Creators set their own price (free, or between ₹49 and ₹999). Buyers receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read the book in the web reader and download watermarked copies for personal use.
- Creators receive 80% of each sale before payment-gateway fees; ePustika retains 20%. Earnings are paid out to a verified Indian bank account subject to KYC (PAN) and applicable tax deduction.
- Every download is forensically watermarked with the buyer's identity. Redistributing purchased books is a breach of these terms and of copyright law.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. ePustika does not store card details. Prices are shown in Indian rupees. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Purchased books remain readable for as long as the marketplace operates; creators' unpaid earnings are settled on termination.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law,ePustika's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the accuracy of AI-generated content.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have.
